Been a while but I’m still here

I’ve updated the links page. Have added a link to the Montgomery Owners Facebook page (most active location to get information about the boats), added new details to some of the others and removed the links to Sage Marine (Sage is closed and boat owners should visit the MSOG Facebook page for information on the boats).

SWEET PEA is still sailing. Her current owner has renamed her, SICK CHICKEN, installed a headsail furler, put on new headsail & main and tried to take part in the first stage of the 2022 Race To Alaska – the start was in a gale, worse weather and seas in the race’s history, and he smartly didn’t make the trip from Port Townsend to Victoria, B.C.

I and Momma Kitty are still living aboard – now in a new-to-us Baba 30 named DEJA VU.

DEJA VU anchored at Gig Harbor, WA.

  1. Hello,
For a number of years, I have been interested in entering the R2K with my M17. I have now done a couple of week long trips through the San Juans/Gulf Islands. Also experimented with adding sliding seat rowing. If you have time, I would really like to talk with you about your preparation etc. Too bad the weather was not in your favor last year! Are you planning to try again? I live in Santa Cruz but keep my boat in SF Bay for a good part of the year.

  2. Good to see you back Dave. I reread your anchoring post from 2018. I am going to start planning overnight trips on my M15 near Gig Harbor.
